   In recent years, modern technology has enjoyed a high priority in national research and scientific development programs. Considering the key role of nanotechnology in future as well as the scientific research and industrial potentials of Isfahan province, the research institute for nanotechnology and advanced materials (RINAM) was established in Isfahan University of Technology (IUT) in 2008 with the aim of contributing to a more cohesive industrial-scientific cooperation and carrying out innovative projects in nanotechnology.
 

•    Promotion of the science, significance, and influence of nanotechnology
•    Providing the required foundation for completing various applied research projects in nanoscience
•    Scientific contribution towards research and science related to nanotechnology topics and publishing scientific papers and patents
•    Establishment of a computation and simulation center for nanotechnology and advanced materials
•    Establishing an equipped research laboratory, preparation of major provincial nanotechnology plans and holding national and international conferences
